*** Due to very few reservations we've decided to drive a 12 person van out to Garlic Fest this year instead of the 45 seat bus. We still have open seats that we would love to fill. Catch the Garlic Express to the 3rd annual Garlic Festival in Howard Lake.

Save gas! Meet new people! Celebrate the joys of garlic!


Bus leaves the Green Institute at 10:00 am and returns 6:15 pm
Bus leaves Mill City Market at 10:15 am and returns at 5:45 pm

Sign up today! There are limited spots available. Reserve your spot by August 15th at 10AM.

Green Routes, University of Minnesota Extension, Local Food Hero and Mill City Farmers Market are your hosts on this bus ride to the Garlic Festival. You can spend all day at Garlic Fest or check out the fest and then head out on a tour of a couple nearby farms. For more information on the farm tour check out our brochure: Garlicexpressfarmtour

The Garlic Festival includes great family activities,music,awesome food prepared by the Birchwood Café, Modern Café,Craftsman,Common Roots and Lucia's,and,of course garlic,100s of kinds of garlic! The farm tour will include a visit to a sheep farm and a new market garden enterprise.


There will be special prize drawings for those riding the bus including a package of Gourmet German Red Garlic from Living Song Gardens,a copy of the Angry Trout Notebook and a copy of the Minnesota Homegrown Cookbook.
